Our approach

At BWB, we understand that successful coaching for athletes with disabilities requires dynamic, flexible, and purposeful planning.

Regular sports programming can often be too linear for many athletes with disabilities. We tailor our classes to adjust to varying skills, learning abilities, and cognitive and motor development. Our unique coaching style reveals every athlete’s potential to become a champion.

Typical coaching method

Most typical sports programming looks something like this. The focus is primarily based on following linear steps to a specific goal, and usually in this order:

  • Physical

  • Mental

  • Technical

  • Tactical

BWB coaching method

Instead of goals being layered, we structure our learning in an overlapping way. Since our athletes have varied ways of learning, we take a dynamic, flexible, yet purposeful approach to our class structure. This way, athletes are empowered to set and work towards their own goals.

How it works

At BWB, we recognize there are many variables impacting people with special needs or disabilities.

Through our specialized coaching, we anticipate the impact of each variable, understand how they change over time—sometimes even minute to minute—and determine how they can contribute to the goals of the individual.

Discover your potential to become a champion.
